Welcome to Ron's Fine Art Studio Classes in Pasadena, CA
Ron the Art Coach believes that art is a fundamental aspect of human life and should be accessible to everyone. His art classes are designed to help you develop your creative skills and express yourself through a variety of mediums.
Ron's daughter, Andrea Pettie, has followed in her father's artistic footsteps; originally assisting with the classroom instruction and now teacher to those same students. Both are passionate about teaching; providing you with the guidance and support you need to achieve your artistic goals.
- Class is limited to 6 students per session and is first come sign-up availability.
- ALL painting materials will be provided. (Canvas board included. *Stretched canvas is extra). Aprons also provided, but suggest wearing comfortable paintable clothes.
- For ages 12+ to Adult
- The location of the studio is near VONS off of Colorado Blvd. and Sierra Madre Blvd. in Pasadena, CA. Parking will be on the street.

**These classes are NOT associated with Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden. Ron's Saturday classes at the Arboretum (Basic & Mid-Advanced painting) will continue this year and for the foreseeable future.

Tuesday 6-8pm Open Painting Sessions
DATE: Tuesday evenings
TIME: 6:00pm - 8:00pm (2 hrs)
PRICE: $ 25 per person (for the entire session)
PAYMENT TYPE: Cash, Check or Zelle (due on the first day of class)
This class will allow you to come in and use the Studio for painting. ALL materials will be provided. (Canvas board included. Stretched canvas is extra). Andrea, the Studio Manager, will be there to answer questions and assist you on paintings you are starting or are currently working on.
** Due to a limitation of 6 seats available in the Studio, we can't have people just drop in. You will still need to sign up for these open classes per the dates listed below.

Sunday S6 - Mini Canvas Painting - 12/5/26
DATE: Sundays 12/6, 12/13, 12/20 (3 week session)
TIME: 11:00am - 2:00pm (3 hrs)
PRICE: $25 per person (for the entire session)
PAYMENT TYPE: Cash, Check or Zelle (due on the first day of class)
This class is appropriate for people that have experience with basic painting skills and can read the color wheel for color mixing and who wish to paint in the company of others.
**Join us for the last class of the 2026 Year**
In this session you will focus on developing skills in miniature painting. You will create art on a small scale (4x4" canvas or smaller) using fine detail brushes and exploring various themes and techniques.
- Expect to finish 1-2 paintings.
- Use the "rule of thirds" to draw image on canvas.
- Handouts will be given to supplement the in-person instruction.
